LOCO Extreme
A loaded pre-workout: 3 g citrulline malate, 2 g arginine, 800 mg beta-alanine and 200 mg caffeine per 12 g serving.
What it is
This is the strongest pre-workout in the range and it isn’t subtle. One 12 g scoop brings 3 g of citrulline malate, 1 g of AAKG, 1 g of arginine HCl, 850 mg of taurine, 800 mg of beta-alanine, 500 mg each of N-acetyl-carnitine and tyrosine, plus Sabeet® beetroot and BioPerine® black pepper extracts.
It also carries 200 mg of caffeine — about two strong coffees — alongside 135 mg of vitamin C and 60 mg of niacin. Vitamin C contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and niacin contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
Two honest warnings. The beta-alanine will make your face and arms tingle for twenty minutes; that’s harmless and normal. And at 200 mg of caffeine, don’t take it after about 4pm unless you enjoy staring at the ceiling. Start with half a scoop to see how you handle it.
How to use it
Dissolve one 12 g serving (1 scoop) in 200–250 ml of water. Take before training. Do not exceed 1 serving per day. Contains caffeine (200 mg per serving) — not recommended for children or pregnant women. The powder is hygroscopic and may clump without losing quality; close the packaging after use.
