What it is
Branched-chain amino acids — leucine, isoleucine and valine — in capsule form at 1100 mg each. A three-capsule serving gives 2.8 g of amino acids.
BCAAs have no authorised health claims in the UK, so I’m not going to tell you they do anything. Here’s the practical position instead: BCAAs were the standard intra-workout supplement for twenty years, and they’ve since been largely superseded by EAAs, because leucine on its own can’t build anything without the other essential aminos present.
Capsules are handy if you want something to take to the gym without a shaker. If you’re choosing between this and the EAA powder, take the EAAs.
How to use it
Take 1 serving (3 capsules) three times a day with plenty of water — before breakfast, before training and after training. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
